You're bickering in vain, gentlemen. Especially in such a manner.
It is normal to use OOS (Out Of Sample).
In science and engineering the method of sliding control or boot-strap, which implies multistage OOS testing, has been known and applied for a long time.
The method itself is heavy, but its effectiveness is beyond doubt.
For us traders, it is usually neutered to a single run on OOS, so it works a little worse, and sometimes does not work at all.
So there you go. )))
Absolutely agree with you. But a person has a different opinion - that's fine too. We all don't mind listening to him and maybe enter into a discussion or take his point of view - I suggested he either justify it in theory or show it in practice. But he does neither. He just snaps back. In the end there is no constructive. Only negativity.
:) You're swearing, aren't you? Well, well. :))
What does it remind you of, the Nanais.
I wonder why you're trying to convince someone they have to convince someone of something. :) Unpromising.
