Interesting and Humour - page 3325

Alexey Burnakov:
Aliens have long been able to observe us the way we observe single-celled organisms. We don't notice them and we bore them. But they can slip all sorts of stimulants into our flask to increase our combat efficiency. Don't think you're the crown of reason.
And those aliens, isn't there someone planting "stimulants" on them too? Or are they the extreme ones and no one is behind them?

A possible scenario for the outbreak of world war: -.

One of the parties from any point of the world's oceans from several submarines strikes (nuclear or non-nuclear is not the point) at the enemy's territory. The question is: - can the attacked party identify who attacked it? There`s a need for reconnaissance information about location and affiliation of all the submarines of all the countries that have them. And this is hardly possible. In that case, it is not clear what the attacked side should do. Strike at all the countries that have submarines? But this is absurd. That leaves the option of possibly obtaining intelligence about a planned strike in advance through its residents in the political circles of the enemy. But what if such a strike is planned in a very narrow circle of political elite, from which the residents would not be able to get information? Could such a strike be planned in secret from enemy intelligence? Who has any thoughts?

There are diplomatic channels that always work. The USSR and Germany used them to agree not to use chemical weapons in the Second World War.

And if someone attacks someone, a declaration of war will follow after the fact. Unless, of course, they are states and not terrorist organizations.

Exactly, post facto, so there may be no one to declare it.) And what do we do until we get that declaration? Wait for it on the ruins? The main question is:can such a strike be planned in secret from enemy intelligence?

Exactly post-facto, so there may not be anyone to announce it). What do we do until we get this announcement? Wait for it on the ruins? The main question is:can such a strike be planned in secret from enemy intelligence?
Intelligence is intelligence. There is anti-missile defence. When the Chelyabinsk meteorite flew, something flew towards it and it collapsed in the air. I have a reasonable explanation for this - it was shot down.

Yuri Evseenkov:
Intelligence is intelligence. There is ABM. When the Chelyabinsk meteorite flew, something flew towards it and it collapsed in mid-air. I have a reasonable explanation for that - it was shot down.
The glare on the camera "flew up to it"

That's how myths are created. And in reality something did not fly up to the meteorite, because without a dash it could not fly up.

Fun facts about World War II.

When during the war, the American "B-29", shot down by the Japanese, landed in Sakhalin, Stalin immediately ordered Tupolev to copy the American bomber, forbidding anything to improve and fix.
The result was the "TU-4" heavy bomber. Never before had Soviet aircraft had ashtrays in the armrests of the pilots' seats.

Before the Second World War, most mortars in European armies had a calibre of 81.4 mm. And the USSR began to make mortars of 82 mm calibre.
Thus
, the Soviet military, unlike the enemy, could fire trophy mines.

During the Second World War, the British counter-intelligence service received a report that a German spy was travelling in a carriage. The British detained all the passengers
and interrogated them for 6 hours, with particular emphasis on biographical details. The agent was given away by the fact that he was the only one of all the passengers who never went astray.

During the Second World War, to improve bombing efficiency, colour-blind people were often included in British bomber crews. They were not misled by German camouflage nets.

I don't know if it's true or not, after the victorious end of the war, Colonel General P. walks into S.'s reception room and asks for his trophy property confiscated at the border to be returned to him.

S.'s call to the border: Give Colonel P his property back!

P: I am a colonel general!

S: Goodbye, Comrade Colonel!

Yes, such an incident did take place. You can read about it in the memoirs of A. Rybin - one of Stalin's guards.
