I know this article has been up for awhile, and I did rework all the code to my own purposes some time ago, and saw how it all worked.  The only real benefit is buttons that work in real time... but is all the code overhead worth that?

It causes me to wonder if matters couldn't be further simplified.  Why not just run the script and indicator, and dispense with the EA?  The script has the infinite loop working, can process orders, the indicator can provide the buy and sell signals.  Seems like this could be simpler.  I know that external variables might not be able to be set in the script in this situation but is that really necessary?  Just interested in any thoughts you might have along these lines... a simpler system?
