I want to withdraw money but got message from broker helius capital saying Hello dear user, your account has been reviewed. According to the Hong Kong tax law, you need to pay 20% of the personal income tax on your profit. Your total profit is US. $8529.01, and you need to pay US$1705.8. You can apply after paying the tax. Withdraw funds is this true? I've never encountered this kind of situation, so I'd like to consult.

This doesn't sounds good, be very careful, I wouldn't pay money in order to get my money.

In any case broker talk is not allowed in the forum, so you need to make your own moves, contact their regulating authority if there is any.

Check their website to see if they mention a regulating authority, if not contact their country's regulating authority.
