You do have Tools → Options (control+O) → Server → Keep personal settings at startup checked? (Or the MT5 equivalent: files → profiles → save as default)
Thanks for your reply, but this box is already checked. If I close the application and open it the password is saved. Only when I do the disaster recovery failover (so the server is transferred to another server and windows is loaded from a copy of the disk) the mt4 station opens without the password there, but remembers the username

I am using a disaster recovery mechanism which copies my entire disk drive to another server in case the server goes down. When this occurs it does not save the MT4 account password even though it was initially saved. Is there anyway to store the password locally on file so it automatically logs in?
