Cannot open MT5

I was using a demo account on MT5 without any problems but then it refused to open from the shortcut or from any other way.

I uninstalled and reinstalled from various sources but still nothing.

I tried using with or without a VPS but still nothing

I've looked in the program files but can't see any exe files but don't know what I'm looking for.

When installing the program it seems to go through the installation process ok with increasing percentage then goes to the 'finish' button.

Then when try and open nothing happens. Can anyone help
