Do I need to have a balance in my mql5 account for automatically renew my vps subscription or does it automatically withdraw from my credit card?

I do not know about it.

But there are many posts on the forum suggesting to subscribe using mql5 account/profile balance other than credit card (users could not subscribe using credit card but they can do it from mql5 account balance).

You need to have the necessary funds (including any applicable VAT) in your MQL5 account, the system will not charge your credit card without authorization.

As I understand - if your subscription is in automatically renew mode (according to this link https://www.mql5.com/en/vps/subscriptions) so the fund will be taken from your MQL5 forum profile.
