what is your entry point, which condition must be happend , so in that case you will give an order or position ( may be you use indicators, trend line, breake, . ... , harmonic pattern, .... , price action ,... , ..... ,   news, ..... ,trailing stop or not,..., martingle or not, ..., support & resistance, ... = i named this : "strategy",  so give you the entry and exit )

I agree with TIM, depends on strategy and mostly time frame. Maybe a semaphore indicator can help on exit. Always use stop loss maybe not less then 40 pips not more then 100
