Paid Expert Advisors didn't work after windows update and required a new activation

Hello, I updated my windows OS and MT5 then the EA's that I had installed did not work even though it was listed in the Expert Advisor/Market/-. I removed and reinstalled and it consumed an activation from my account for the 2 EAs that I have purchased. Are you able to help me with the following:

1. How do avoid loosing activations when windows 10 OS updates are required?

2. Can I please have 1 activation reinstated for each of the 2 EAs that I have?
