That seems to be the only thing that I have seen online multiple times - I understood that Metatrader itself isn't a broker but why is
MetaQuotes Software Corp an option as a broker? I've attached screenshots of this. Sorry if this is a silly question - I'm just
slightly confused. Thanks so much for answering!
There are no fees or charges associated with the MetaTrader platform. Metatrader is not a broker.
Fees and charges may differ from broker to broker, so check the broker's website or contact the broker.

No screenshots attached.
Metaquotes supply a price feed for demo trading only. It would possibly be a good idea if they didn't, then maybe so many people would not confuse them with a broker.

Yes, it does look confusing.
The best thing is to just download MT4/5 from your selected broker.

Hey guys,
Complete newbie and I'm struggling with finding the info I'm after on this forum - although I'm certain its on here somewhere!
I've been investing in free apps such as freetrade and trading212 for a little while now and i've finally decided to have a look into metatrader 5. I've downloaded the app and been playing with the demo version and now interested in actually putting money into this.
It says I can use a broker or the option thats already there is to use MetaQuotes Software Corp - what is that? is that MT5 default option and is it advisable to go through this than a different broker?
Is there minimum deposit to get started? If so what is it?
Whats the fee's and chargers with MTF5? is the chargers/commissions per sale? Is there charges on withdrawals? I'm finding this quite hard to source this info.
I understand I'm asking some basic questions, but i'm finding it seemly difficult to get these answered! Any other tips on using the app is greatly appreciated .
Many thanks everyone - Y2L
