Suggestion to new update policy
You are losing your time. Metaquotes will not change his policy, this has been discussed many many times, believe me. And they are right.
It's perfectly possible for a power user to avoid update, all other users need automatic update so that Metaquotes doesn't have to deal with 10 years old build.

There could be a configuration window with the options "Check now", "Check daily", "Check weekly", "Check monthly". And when there is an update a popup window could offer the following buttons: "Update now", "Remember tomorrow", "Do not update".
This could avoid the problems with undesirable updates.
