This code is useless!!!!!

I would recommend you read my update and have another look at it. I agree I used functions/code from my previous MLTrend EA. They do not impact on this EA as it does not call them. However, they will be used for another developer who may would like to improve this code.

It is an attempt to understand the market. The backtest will prove this. Please test it on every tick and the day timeframe. The day timeframe will allow you to have a long backtest time that starts from 1995 or even before. If you test it on shorter timeframe the MT4 will not go back that long. It is clear the FX market was different from 1995 to 2010 than these days in terms of volatility. I will be pleased to hear more feedback from you.

I stand by my remarks! This code is useless!

And I see no update, just some extra graphs that help prove the point. You can see by every one of your back-test graphs that the equity curve turns down towards the end, signifying that in today's markets it is useless.

Every one knows that the old buy-and-hold strategy no longer functions in today's markets (especially in Forex). That is what your code does essentially - continuous buying (long) or exclusively continuous selling (short), and does not even mix the two (like say swing trading).

In my opinion, it should not even be considered a fully functional EA robot but rather, just an aid at the discretion of a manual trader, but even at that it is a disappointment. As I wrote, even the manual functions of MT4 does a better job of it.

PS! I have tick data for way back, so I back-tested it all the way back with high-quality on several instruments. A went over the entire code as well, so I am not just criticizing for the sake of it.
