I already know that the broker offers symbols that that be traded. The historical data is available to download and the symbols also have charts that can easily be loaded on the screen.
I want to know if it is possible to upload historical data on a symbol that does not exist through the broker, and if it is possible to create a chart for that on MT4? I understand that even if it is possible to do so one would not be able to trade that symbol since the broker does not offer it.
My concern is more so to upload data and analyse a chart since the MT4 capabilities are far more advanced than any other platform that is used for stock trading. So i simply want to do a back test of specific charts. I want to be able to use my own custom indicators on these charts i want to analyse
Is this possible on MT4?
If not... then is there any other software platform where this is doable?
