Price Alerts set via MT4 app

Hi i am aware we can set price alerts on MT4 and get push notifications on our Mobile Phone

But are we able to set Price Alerts through the MT4 Mobile App?

Or must we strictly only set through the desktop
 
Through the desktop only, but if you are creative enough and able to write additional software then the possibilities expand.

i heard i can get a VPN to run my mt4. that way i can use the vpn to access into my mt4 desktop and set the alert through my phone. is that accurate?
 
That depends on the type of VPN but yes it is one of the many possibilities.

VPN - Virtual Private Network  (a connection)

VPS - Virtual Private Server  (an actual server)

 
thank you for your help. so for a VPS, is it like a Virtual Computer i have that is running 24/7?

meaning once i subscribed, i will be able to log in through a web browser to the Virtual Computer and run it like a desktop?
 

Yes they usually run 24/7.

Remote Desktop ability depends on the type of VPS.

hi again all. i just tried the notifications on mt4 which will alert my mobile. i tested however it is inaccurate in alerting me. 


i set alert for Price: Bid<0.67240 but it alerted me when price got to only 0.67243

it should only alert me when my Bid reaches 0.67239 am i right?
 
maybe the price changed a bit when the alert was on the digital highway ...
