Testing MQL Code with Interbankfx.com

The first step I have taken is mirror your creation of the MACD crossover as your video shows. Once compiled, I tried to create an expert advisor with my brokerage firm.

First I opened the test file of the MACD crossover into their Metaquotes Language Editor.

Then I opened the Navigator up in the graphics program and right clicked on the Expert Advisor>Create a new Expert>Expert Advisor Wizard>General Expert Advisor Properties. This entry asked for Name/Author/Notes:/ Lots/Stop Loss/Take Profit/ Trailing Stops. After I entered the Lots/Stop loss/Take Profit/Trailing stops amounts I selected finish. No new Expert Advisor Showed Up under Navigator>Expert Advisors

I then tried copying the compiled text showing in metaquotes language editor of the MACD crossover into the 'Notes:' box and finished the expert advisor Wizard. No new Expert advisor showed up under the Navigator>Expert Advisors.

I am requesting your input because the IT people behind this brokerage firm do not return emails on Expert Advisor questions. Can you try to help me out with this issue?

Their website: https://www.mql5.com/go?link=http://www.interbankfx.com/ has a simple screen to set up a demo account and download their demo trade platform. Your blessed help is extremely appreciated. I may switch brokerage firms in the near future because of their lack of customer support, but right now, I would just like to get my Expert Advisor created and tested. P.S. I hope you have had a "Happy Father's Day". Don't forget our Father in Heaven!

Sincerely Yours,

All you need is the ZeroCode program, save the file on your desktop or wherever you wish. Then you need to drag and drop in the "Experts" folder under the C:\Program Files\InterBankFX etc etc until you fall in the Experts section. From there on you need to restart InterbankFx and under the Experts drop down menu you will find it. Double click on and it should be ok and done with.

Hope that helps, after the ZeroCode program is done all you need is to put the file that was made into the folder, no need to edit it or touch any other programs

I will test this out this evening - You and your program are a answer to my prayer!! God Bless!

It worked as you knew it would. Thanks a bunch. Now onto step 2 of 4. Programming my program.

P.S. I noticed in the MQL writer you cannot save your initial setup information. This can be a problem if you are designing a program and coding it in stages into the MQL writer, or get interrupted and have to close out and return later. Will the Beta II have it where you can retrieve setup information from a setup file prior to compiling? Just thought I would inquire - it would help.

Dave,

Check out the sticky topic HERE in particular item 3 - logic will be saved which I suggested soon after Beta1 was released.
