An example :
1+past price == some value
1+future price == some value we could never know (since we still can not know the future)
there is no approximation when using the future value(s) has to be replaced. It can not be made not use future values and resemble to original values. As guys mentioned : at a speed faster than light - but we are lacking the energy to accomplish that, so we are doomed to analyze the past
