Mac Laptops
I cannot see anything wrong with your options mentioned here. There is a separate MT4 version available for MAC. Currently I am using MT4 on my Win 7 Laptop.

I have a mac and currently run VMWare Fusion (which allows me partition my hard drive so I can run Windows operating systems) to use MT4. I really like this as I am able to quickly switch between windows and mac. I haven't use the MT4 that brendanfx mentioned, but FXCM has an awesome web based platform that works great on macs. I think it will depend on your broker whether they offer a mac compatible MT4 so I would check with them before making any decisions. Hope this was helpful.

I have been looking at the Mac laptops vs the windows 7 or 8 operating systems. I am not sure if Meta trader will be supported by the Mac operating system. I feel windows 8 is a repeat of Vista, not a computer wizard just my opinion.
Would appreciate any feedback, comments before I move on to upgrade.
