Hello guys, and thanks for your job about this "Blessing2".
My backtests on Cable, GbpChf and EurChf are very good and i have an question about an trade on my demo account:
On december 31 th, on GbpChf, blessing made an trade wis big movement of 580 pips, it opened order at level 8 (1.08 lots) and closes all whis an 100 pips retracement, but this trade were a loss cause steps are not at regular steps.
I tought than levels are opened at regular steps:
(25,25,25,25,50,50,50,50,100,100,100,100) but not in this case.
My question: Are the steps ever regular or depends on market conditions ?
I can understand than it can't open an trade on very quick movements but movements in my december 31th example are not very fast.
Thanks and Happy New Year all of you
Greg

GregMaybe FiFtHeLeMeNt or Iron can step in and explain. I'm also interested
to know the answer.

Set Files
I am a conservative trader. Tweaking Blessing on pairs that haven't been tested is something we all need to do but we do want to be careful. Backtesting takes a lot of time and effort and, right now, I can say that the only pairs that have been doing well are here.
The pairs you are running below have always taken twists and turns that Blessing didn't like over time. So, I humbly suggest using the set files that many, many folks have tested both forward and back.

Why reinvent the wheel? Have you traded this EA, yet? If so, how long,
what pairs, what account size and lot sizes?
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

No I didn't trade this EA yet ? but I want trade by this EA safety.
There are several people on this forum, right now, who
are trading this EA safely(myself included). I have a close
friend who has been live with Blessing 2 for five months
and has not received one margin call. You really need to read
Iron's manual, so you understand the variables and how to
apply proper risk management.
I recommend setting up four $3K demos, each with two
pairs(and use Iron's setfiles). Set the first one at .01
lots, the second at .02 lots, the third at .05 lots, and the
last at .1 lots. Run the demos and monitor floating losses,
as they relate to margin. After a while, you will be able to
determine which lot sizes are safe to run with this EA, with
regard to a particular account size. Everyone should run
their own tests, and I encourage you to do the same.

RobAs an addendum, I should add that the accounts must
be mini accounts and that 1 pip = 1-cent. This is what
it is with an IBFX mini account.

Fix What?
All,
Blessing is working great. Blessing does it's calculations internally to garner profits. It does not use a TakeProfit or a Stoploss. Inherently, the lack of transmitting a Stoploss and TakeProfit has allowed this EA to perform well because there is no temptation by any broker to hunt for Stoplosses! It's inherently a "stealthy" EA by nature!
Rob is correct. Understanding how Blessing works it's magic with lot sizes is paramount to safe trading. If you are garnering 15-40% per month with Blessing with NO margin calls, NO huge drawdowns and NO account blowouts, I would consider that highly successfully in the FOREX market.
Happy Trading
