What is pivot point and how to use it on Forex?

Hello!

I’m only a beginner on Forex. Could someone help me, please, to understand what is the Pivot point and why Dow Jones pays so much attention to it and gives it every day? I place their Pivot to the chart, but do not understand what exactly it means. The price simply breaks it as if there is no any significant level there at all.

Why after point breakout trend not go up?

There are 5 pages about Pivot Points.

Today the Pivot seems working pretty well, look here:

Do you mean the Pivot is a place where the correction ends and the previous trend continues? How do you practically use the Pivot?

DJNA gives the Pivot every day and a formula for calculating it.

Pivot=(High+Low+Close)/3
