Newbie questions regarding opening live account
Hi all,
I'm new to forex, and this forum so I don't know if somebody has allready answered my question.
I've been trading on demo account for about 4 months now, and read numerous articles, but I haven't found
answers to my questions.
I have 2 questions regarding opening an live account:
1) If I open my live account in USD, does that mean that I can only trade with USD as a base currency (USDJPY,
USDCAD...)? What would happen if I enter EURJPY where USD is neither base nor quote currency? Do I pay additional
transaction costs, or anything else. Do I have to pay double spread cost (of EURJPY + USDJPY)?
2) I was reading through babypips.com and found something that I didn't understand, and it kindda scared me because

Do they mean that transaction cost is spread x pip value or is there some other cost I should calculate in?
I also don`t know what commission is? It is in Metatrader`s trade info (terminal) window but it is always zero in demo account.
Is it different in live account?
To sum it all up, I wanna know what are the additional cost of live trading that are not calculated in demo account.

Chart saving
Whenever I saved a chart, the computer freeze for such a long time since it try to invoke Internet Explorer to display the saved chart.
How to change that it is not IE which display the chart but "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer"

My ExpertAdvisor creates pending order. How can I detect if that order is opened (or closed). Are there order statuses?

I have seen many videos and advertisement about the Expert advisor.....
Many claim 100-2500% return on investment.............
I have many faq's in my mind regarding how the program would been created....
What will be the positional size.........
How the EA will play after continuous 3-5 loss trades......
What would be the exit stratergy,.,,,
Does all these knowledge is given to the indicator ????
I am not looking for 1000% or more Forex robot for an EA..........
I am just simply looking for a EA which Protect my capital @ 80% and risk only 20% to make 30% for a year.....
30% ROI is something really too much ......
Just want know such EA are there....... ????

GaneIf trading and programming for 10 years makes me qualified, my advice is not to listen to any of those claims. A very high percentage of what's out there for sale is complete garbage. Some make outrageous claims without giving any details of condition about those results (they can't because they don't have anything concrete to support that), even if when they supply a back testing chart that shows a pretty equity curve, those data can still be fakes, EA can be curve fitted to that particular period after it's already history. Overall you can't trust them.
It seems only hard work of yourselves can give you the return, even if you do there's no garentee you will make it.
