How does one gets useful information from something like this :

Igor Livshin, in his article "Balance of Market Power" gives us an answer.

Calculation in the indicator posted here is the same as Igor Livshin's calculation except for the last step : he uses a regular simple moving average to smooth the result into usable form, while I preferred to use something faster, with less lag an smoother. Also, the part about calculating the bands is not explained in his article so in this one it is a sort of "custom" deviations band (very little to do with standard deviation bands) . So, after all those, the data from above becomes something like this :

Attaching the article itself too with an explanation as of how and what for it can be used (apart from obvious usage for peak finding (in which it seems to be surprisingly good even in cases of whipsaws) and trend determination)

I would like to pick your brain om the ZigZag please. I did find your correspondence regarding the "two bugs that are built in" ("ExtDeviation")

Is there one available without those bugs and if so is it compatible with pre-600-fiasko? If you have one that we can test on pre-600, I would appreciate you showing me where to find it plse and thank you in advance.

I want to add lines to the turning points to tell you why I am keen in getting the corrected version.

As far as I remember Big Be told in those posts that he has a corrected indicator. I haven't seen it nor do I have any experience with that version of zigzag indicator

Trend scalp jurik - delayed ,Jurik trix mtf , and JKGSP from here: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general all made to be compatible with new mt4 builds.

 

Trend Scalper replaced the T3 with jurik, same with Trix, changed the T3 with jurik,(thanks to Mladen all the hard work already done on these two ), and added jurik smoothing with bands on Kgsp. On all these you can use jurik double smooth or jurik regular smooth and you can use multicolor true or false on the Kgsp.
