any1 gotten any trades to open on M1 charts on any pairs since the market opened today? I havn't. Just wondering if it was me or everyone.
Same here no opens on (4) majors 1M-Time Frame on Velocity4x demo. as of Late Sunday night. This is a strange EA last week it skipped on report posted EUR for 2 day's and ran GBP early in week then stopped.

i have seeen in some of your statements that you are testing the 4 major pairs on 1minilot with a 5000$ account.
dont you think it is a to small account balance for one minilot on the 4 majors?
only imagine (the worst case) if you have opened the max open trades(5) on one currency.
it would be with a 1:200 leverage
0.1 -mini lot 50$
0.2 -mini lot 100$
0.4 -mini lot 200$
0.8 -mini lot 400$
1.6 -standard lot 800$

total used margin 1550$ on one currency pair
on 4 pairs it would be (at the worst case if all pairs have max open trades) 6200$ used margin and also imagine if a position goes a long time in your negative direction. i think that would cause sooner or later a margin call with this money managment(with a 5000$ account).
i only try to find a good moneymanagment for this EA. i would appreciate some comments about the moneymanagment for this EA.
btw i have also started a forward testing of this EA, so far it looks good
Chosing good mm for ML1 is little dificult.
WINS EXAMPLE
(for TP 15 SL 51 Pips 3) - little differ from current ML1 setup fo EURUSD
We got 5 different TP sizes (in pips in relation to the size of first position volume):
TP for 0.1 = +15 = 15
TP for 0.2 = +5 +15*2 = 35
TP for 0.4 = -5 +5*2 +15*4 = 65
TP for 0.8 = -15 -5*2 +5*4 +15*8 = 115
TP for 1.6 = -25 -15*2 -5*4 +5*8 +15*16 = 205
But the loss is always the same:
0.1 = -51 = 51
0.2 = -48*2 = 96
0.4 = -45*4 = 180
0.8 = -42*8 = 336
1.6 = -39*16 = 624
SUM = 1287
So it would be proper to find average size of win, then divide 1287 using this value to find risk balance.
I think we should wait few weeks to gather more data.

http://www.metatrader.info/node/67that's the problem i guess. i've import the data. and if i use other EAs, the strategy tester will show trades being open from any date i specified, but if using the ML1 EA, no trade will be open except after 17 August.
it must be somthing wrong at your side
i've made backtest from 2004-2006.09 with no problem

yeah my backtest is the same, cept it only gets trades from the 5th of this month. its weird.

what is odd is that I have and selected data range starting at 09-09-2005 but it didn't make any trades until January 2006. I should add that I have 1m data starting 09-09-2005 in my history center.
the high point was....
7290 2006.08.04 14:55 t/p 3645 100.00 1.9119 1.9055 1.9119 13000.00 4335055.99
that's $500 to $4,335,005.99 in 8 months.
I have been running the untweaked version of this in my demo for two days but it's not opened any trades on the gpbusd 1M chart.
Perhaps someone can tell me why it modeled at only 24% quality when the data was there for it to model so much better?
i have it opened on 2 MT4s, 1 opening MaxTrades set at 5 another at 7. it does take a while to open trades. even when running all 4 pairs.
