Hi Guys, I modified this into an MTF and it works real good on 5 min TF with the params I have set, there is a little repainting happening but i can live with that as I have other filters.

I want to get the alert working on the MTF when the arrow shows up so far not succesful, can anyone look at this and suggest

By the way I fixed the MTF problem in this that occurred when changing timeframes with arrows it used to show multiple arrows, but now only one each time

Thanks

This is the famous "indicator for selfdeceiving" (as it says in the third line, ciril font, russian language)

It heavily repaints, in fact it repaints so much that it is ... well, useless.

Hope that this saved you some time

MTF Absolute Stregth Histogram with Signals

Hi all there.

You will find the Histogram version of MTF Absolute Strength with signals onto the zero line.

The meaning of the colors is:

Normal situations:

Blue = Strongth Up

DodgerBlue = Up Correction

Red = Strongth Down

Indian Red = Down Correction

Transitions situations:

White = No Trade (There are no interest of bulls and bears)

Gold = Two Forces are Interested (There are interest of bulls and bears at the same time, but usually one of them is more strong and finally it take the domain of the market)

Like any other indicator, it needs practice and observation to obtain from it the best results.

I would like to give the thanks to fxbs for its reviews in order to obtain the final indicator. And also, I would like to give the thanks to igorad (from TrendLaboratory), for allow us to have its free version of Absolute Strength.

Regards.

Your indicator doesn't show on the chart at all, just empty separate window. Can you fix it somehow? What are you using MetaTrade build 206 or 207?

RMI and MTF_RMI

Attached are the RMI and The MTF_RMI.

Thank you to everyone who helped. Credits in the code.

For those who are not aware, I use RMI instead of RSI because the visual trend is much smoother than RSI. I get less false signals here compared to many other indicators. Or should I say, I get better signals for my entry and exit triggers.

hi, NY, Erdenmensch!

this indi -MTF_AbsoluteStrength_v1DHs-1.mq4 - developement of previous https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173574/page53 posts797,798

Cattus worked at and add signals according to IgorAd and Newdigital rules to jercydevil's Bulls/Bears histo.

Ind. based on AbsoluteStrength_v1DH and AbsoluteStrength_v1.1

Same old story: it calls and need metioned indis (exact name) to be installed

if someone would like to make it standalone indi - they are very welcome!

Thanks, Yano!

//| Relative Momentum Index.mq4 |

//| Original indicator by davinviproject |

//| Modified and Corrected by Linuxser for forex TSD |

//| |

//| Relative Momentum Index (RMI) |

//| Overview |

//| The Relative Momentum Index (RMI) was developed by Roger Altman. |

//| It was first introduced in the February 1993 issue of Technical |

//| Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine. |

//| The RMI is a variation of the RSI indicator. The RMI counts up and|

//| down days from the close relative to the close x-days ago (where x|

//| is not limited to 1 as is required by the RSI) instead of counting|

//| up and down days from close to close as the RSI does. |

//| |

//| Note that an RMI with parameters of C, 14, 1 is equivalent to a 14|

//| period RSI of the Close price. This is because the momentum |

//|parameter is calculating only a 1-day price change (which the RSI |

//|does by (default). |

//|As the momentum periods are increased the RMI fluctuations become |

//|smoother. |

//| Since the RMI is an oscillator it exhibits the same strengths and |

//| weaknesses of other overbought / oversold indicators. |

//|During strong trending markets it is likely that the RMI will |

//|remain at overbought or oversold levels for an extended period of |

//|time. |

//|However, during non-trending markets the RMI tends to oscillate more

//|predictably between an overbought level of 70 to 90 and an oversold|

//|level of 10 to 30. |
