Hi Lorne,
you are right but you can know when the Author of the signal publish it from his news feed
the numbers depends on account balance for example 5$ from 50$ is 10% profit and 5$ from 500$ is 1% the author may add funds or withdraw so you must check the balance and measure the performance

MQL5 should state how long the signal has been on MQL5!
If they do already, it's not prominent. It should be shown on the left of the screen with the rest of the basic information concerning the signal. I subscribed to this signal "My Stable Profit" for a couple of weeks. Based on past performance, drawdown etc. However, the trading and performance are nothing like the history shown. I quickly cancelled the signal.
After further research I can see that the although the signal has 3 years history showing, it has only been on MQL5 for 3 weeks!
This signal has quickly attracted 41 subscribers and the performance has been terrible since becoming available.....Looks very suspicious to me!!!!
Is it possible for signal providers to fake their numbers when joining MQL5?
