Yes, the logic that I wrote (syntactically incorrect) does not do what I wanted after you fixed the code to compile error free.

I guess that this is caused by my global type fault as you and GumRai say ...

Back to some more reading (especially on global variables).

I take your comment that I need to do more reading to heart - I knew this but wanted to get the program running correctly a.s.a.p.
