Depending on exactly what you meant fxtrader, the answer may be yes.  The only way an EA will continue to make trades if your own computer is turned off is iff (if and only if) whatever broker you are using for your live (real money) forex account will host your EA on their server.  Therefore the EA will always be connected to the FX market.  This option is usually available to accounts who maintain a balance above $XXXX. Check with your broker to see what this value must be for them to host your EA.  This is useful to make sure that you do not lose your socks off in the event of your town losing its electric power while you are engaged in a trade. (or trades depending on your EA)


If you had meant your question while using only a demo account on metatrader, then angevoyageur is correct with the 'No.' reply.

The answer is no.   The question was "Will a expert advisor continue to make live trades if metatrader isnt running?"  even if the EA is running on a MT4 Terminal other than the Users PC if MT4 is turned off the EA will terminate.
