Down/Up load data @ bottom right hand of MT4

There is this down/up load data at the bottom right hand of the MT4 platform which reads something like this - (5126/3 kb)

I understand that the bigger number (5126) is the amt of data downloaded from MT4 server.

And the smaller number (3) is the data uploaded to MT4 server.


1) What i would like to ask is what sort of data is being UPLOADED back?

2) is it extracting data from my computer?

as far as i can tell u, nothing is uploaded to the server, except for thing that needed to be uploaded, such as the communication with the server if it's connected or not
or let's say u r opening a chart for example EURUSD H1 then the terminal is communicate with the server to notify the server, if the whole data is in your computer or not etc.

Usually the UPLOAD data for MT4 to server is under 15kb even 12-14 hrs of runtime.


Recently for MT5, i encountered the UPLOAD data as high as the DOWNLOAD data, which got me alittle worried.

But it was at the same time acting weird, with some missing bars from chart. (which might be the cause of the high UPLOAD data)


Just to check on 1 more thing, the UPLOAD data for MT5 is always higher than MT4. (even when both are on and running for the same amt of hours)
