MT4 strategy tester is very slowly ,What should I do
reboot, retry. Obviously not currently running.
Do not install in\program files* on Vista/Win7
I have written indicators with 6 loops before that process the whole chart history 6 times in the blink of an eye, so there is something strange going on when strategy tester takes several minutes to process a few months worth of chart history, which it often does, and I think it is writing to the journal that slows it down.

Did you run it on VPS ? if so, VPS is a shared server, meaning that your server processor computing power is divided and shared among other users.

Quad core CPU using Hyperthreading will show a little more than 10% usage when the Strategy Tester is running flat out, I suspect this is what the OP has . . .
