So it appears I may have triggered a bug in the Fibo's in MT4 (Build 432) and wonder if one of you can tell me how to undo what I did short of reinstalling. Or alternatively how I can get all my current settings and charts over to a new copy and leave the defective fib setting behind
Here is what I did.
I was editing my fib extension levels and I like to have the price displayed with the level. I was adding a level and apparently I added a second percent sign in the description.
This is what I entered in the description field "141.4% FE %$" (without the quote marks).
As soon as I accepted the changes (clicked OK) Meta Trader crashed.
I relaunched Meta Trader and as soon as I went to place the fib extension on the chart Meta Trader crashed again.
I have installed a few fresh copies of MT4 and found that: it's duplicatable, and it also happens on fib retracements.
If this is not recoverable then I guess I am today's lesson on things not to do with Meta Trader.
