interesting trade with EURUSD

hi guys,

This is my first trade with Meta Trader 5. I bought 1 standard lot of EURUSD, so I purchase

100 000 EUR

so that would be

100 000 EUR * 1.31290 = 131290 USD

with a 100 : 1 leverage...

my initial margin deposit

= 131290/100 = 1312.90 USD

When I look under my account I get the following from meta trader:

Volume Rate USD
EUR 100K 1.31209 1 312.09
USD 4.73572M 1.00000 47 357.20

Balance: 50 000.00 USD Equity: 49 919.00 Margin: 1 312.90 Free Margin: 48 606.10 Leverage: 1:100 Margin Level: 3 802.19 %

how come the trade volume for USD is 4.73572M,
if i buy 100K EUR it should be

100 000 EUR * 1.31290 = 131290 USD

EUR 10.00 1.31217 1 312.17

USD 473.57 1.00000 47 357.20

How come the Volume for EUR is 10.00 and 473.57 for USD , I purchased 1 standard lot , so it should be 100 000 for the volume of euros.

Your post isn't very clear, it would be better to format your data when you post as many figures Also it would be easier to post screenshots.

EDIT : Seems there is a bug on the exposure data.

At first (x years ago) i tried to calculate things by starting from idea that lot is 100k$, and I gave up after few days.

The easiest approach is to take the price of a pip, your balance/equity, min lot size, and calculate everything with it.
And this way you get reliable results, without worrying for the leverage or other settings.
