The Zero Indian Rupee
9 November 2015, 04:57
In 2010, the India Against Corruption movement issued banknotes of 0
rupee. The anti-corruption activists urged the Indians to pay dishonest
officials with zero-rupee notes. According to them, such banknotes won
huge popularity among the locals who usually give them to unprincipled
policemen and civil servants who extort money for their service or
penalty cancellation.[-copied]
