JAG

JAG stands for "Just Another Grid". It utilizes grid averaging (half martingale), trend following, and hedge strategy. JAG trades long term positions (always in market) but it can also trade short term ones.

JAG is safe and usually have positive, rather than negative floating equity normally seen on standard grid systems. Thanks to the build up of equity cushion over time. The primary goal of the system is to accumulate multiple positions and maximize equity in strong trending price while still making profit in ranging markets. It makes profit in both conditions.

Its EA in "dumb mode" (full automatic) successfully passed 10 years MetaTrader back tests since 2014 without stop out, despite high DD up to +85%.

Baseline start deposit 1500 (1.5K) USD for 0.01 start lot. If you think initial lot size is too low for 1.5k please be aware that the total lot on open positions can and will actually grow. If you think the start lot is too large, then make down adjustment to your copied lot size proportionally, and you will be safer. In either case you still need to follow the original lot size increase and decrease from JAG signal.

If you copy all symbol/pairs I trade use at least 3k USD start deposit or you can experience DD bigger than my stats at the first weeks/month. If you only copy one symbol can start with 1k. From real trades the biggest DD contributors on July 2024 are AUDUSD and ETHUSD.

Use swap-free account (unlimited, not 5 not 10 days swap free), as JAG can have open positions for days, even weeks or more in order to maximize profit on prolonged trend.

Unlike scalping strategy, JAG is not be sensitive to slippage and spikes, which is likely to happen around important news release, big holidays, and broker rollover time. It has spread and slippage limiter though. Check with your broker or use broker I trade with.

If you can, get yourself low spread - low commission account, and low latency VPS. Leverage of 1:500 or higher is better if you trade multiple symbols.

A swap free, commission free (with bigger spread), cent account is fine.

+ No stop loss is part of the strategy but after some distance there will be positions with trailing SL to secure profit on good trends and act as equity cushion safety.

++ JAG is operated semi automatically, no "smart" AI no neural network technology BS etc. Its original EA is actually "stupid". Trading is inherently probabilistic, and as long as the system has no way to see future (not predict it), doesn't matter how smart you are or a super machine is, trading will still be probabilistic. Accepting and adapting to this principle JAG survives and make profit in choppy markets, and thrives in trending one while keeps DD significantly lower than simulation.
