I have spent some time setting out the relevant calculations for each element of the EA in a spreadsheet, with examples, which should make the below clearer.  This will be provided once job awarded.  I also have some source code which a couple of people have worked on but not managed to perfect.  You may want to use some or none of this, but might help to see how some of the elements function.  However, please note the EA code is not working in line with the parameters set.

The final EA I am aiming for must have three elements, N.B.All trades are based on the 5-minute (5M) time frame:

1. Break away trades: EA to look at Google Finance web pages (see attached Word doc) to source previous day’s cash open/high/low/close prices for relevant index; all trades are based on these levels and the pivot points they generate; calculations to be provided once job awarded.

  • EA to identify if high/low of first MT4 5M bar from 'StartTime' is above/below previous day’s high/low, R1/S1 pivot point and Cam break-out Long/Short (formulas to calculate these levels will be provided).
  • Break away element of EA must incorporate all the TP/SL/position size calculations in the attached spreadsheet and use correct entry criteria.


2. Extreme Gap trades: EA to recognize when MT4 price is opening above/below the previous day’s cash high/low (from Google).  If a defined number of points are available, EA to open a position, using correct entry criteria, targeting previous day’s cash high/low from Google (see conditions and examples to be provided).  
o These trades would essentially be the opposite to the break-away trades and would have same entry criteria i.e. Entry Buffer, 50% spread etc. and open between ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’.
o In a scenario where EA has opened a break-away trade, failed to hit target and hit SL, it should be possible for EA to open opposite extreme gap trade, and vice versa.  
o But, importantly, only a single position of each should be opened between ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’.

3. Double Extreme Gap trades: EA to calculate if Google cash prices have created a gap the previous day (examples and calculations to be provided) and if another gap is available i.e. MT4 price opening above/below previous day’s Google high/low, EA must open trade from ‘StartMonitorTime’ if valid set up available, using correct entry criteria; all calcs will be provided.
o It may be possible for EA to open 2 positions: 1 between ‘StartMonitorTime’ and ‘Start Time’ if double extreme gap conditions met.  And another between ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’ if extreme gap conditions also met.
o Also, if one or both of the extreme gap trades trigger, do not hit TP but hit SL, it should also be possible for break-away trade to trigger in opposite direction if price direction changes.
o But, again, only a single position of each should be opened between ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’.
