The Expert Advisor (EA) PriceFlow utilizes advanced tape reading techniques and volume flow analysis based on the order book. It monitors buyer and seller volume on the specific timeframe of the asset, checking the accumulation and growth of the weighted average volume. For example, in XAUUSD, if the average sell volume increases from 17 to 18 at the close of a candle, this indicates increasing selling pressure, suggesting a possible downward price trend. The algorithm identifies which side (buyers or sellers) is stronger and checks if the volume is ascending.

For each timeframe, the EA continuously verifies buying and selling volumes at the close of each candle. It is also effective in volume analysis to detect divergences between price and volume, useful for identifying potential reversals when the price rises but the predominant volume is in the opposite direction.

The EA employs an intelligent system for managing open positions, using the Parabolic SAR indicator to adjust the trailing stop after its activation (Trailing Step). Additionally, it checks market strength before opening positions using the ADX indicator. If the ADX is above 25, the EA determines which side is stronger; if the volume is ascending and the spread is within the allowed limit, a market order is placed.

The EA is highly effective in short timeframes such as M1, M5, and M15 but also excels in longer timeframes like H1 and H4.

If your broker does not provide access to the order book, the PriceFlow EA has a fallback system that uses the ADX to assess market strength, the maximum acceptable spread, and the RSI to identify overbought and oversold regions, serving as a secondary operational logic for trading.
