Sapphire Strat Maker

Sapphire Strat Maker is an EA builder (Expert Advisor Builder or Strategy Maker) designed to make the creation of trading strategies easier. The goal is to provide the most intuitive, functional and fast environment to test and execute new strategies.

With this Expert Advisor you can create thousands of strategies by combining the indicators (30+ indicators are available) provided by the EA or by using custom indicators. A few of the functionalities are described below:


  • Tester settings to make faster optimization runs;
  • Custom definition of buy and sell entry conditions;
  • Custom definition of take profit/stop loss levels, including by indicators set by the user or fixed levels;
  • Stops after N bars;
  • Single or multi position;
  • Stop trading for a period (daily, weekly, monthly) after reaching a defined profit/loss;
  • Move stop loss to breakeven after reaching a certain % to take profit;
  • Volume calculated by balance or a fixed amount or even by mathematical operations on profit/loss;
  • Trailing stop;
  • 'Alert mode', in which the EA alerts the user when the set conditions were filled, so the user can choose whether to trade or not. 


When creating a new strategy, it's always a good practice to always erase/reset the input parameters to avoid leaving behind some parameter checked for optimization or a wrong value. Use the preset available here to erase all inputs when creating a new strategy.

Beware, results may vary according to the broker (specially on lower timeframes), since each broker may receive data from different market data providers. If that's your case, just re-optimize the ready-made strategies above.

- ADDED THE ALERT OPTION. Instead of trading, the EA can check if the buy/sell conditions were filled and alert the user at what time it happened. This may be useful for when the user needs to check other conditions that cannot be doable with the EA (i.e., check if it is in a support/resistance zone or if you need to check if other conditions were filled on other symbols). To enable it, just change the "[EA] Type" in the Expert Advisor section.
- Added 'TP Money' and 'SL Money' to the volume calculation type. With this, the lot/volume is calculated so that the TP/SL corresponds to a certain amount of money (please note that the value is aproximated; sometimes the exact money value can not be calculated, so the EA chooses the closest value)
- Added 'Per $100 balance' and 'Per $1000 balance' to the volume calculation type. With this, every $100 or $1000 in the balance increases the volume by the defined amount for that instrument. For example, if the increment lot size defined is 0.05 and you have a balance of $1000, if you choose the option 'Per $100 balance', the volume will be 0.5 (0.05 * (balance/100)).
- Fixed a bug with testing mode 'Profit/Absolute equity drawdown' returning wrong results
- Now the 'Money' TP/SL type calculates the distance of the TP/SL from the entry price considering the minimum lot size, not the defined lot size in the volume section anymore.
- Now the 'Crossing upwards/Downwards', 'Upwards/Downwards' and 'Reversed up/down' comparison methods take into consideration the corresponding parameter 'Bar shift/Fixed value'. This parameter value shall correspond to the bar that may have crossed up/down, the bar that is going up/down or the bar that has made a reversal up/down.
