This is an obsolete thread/post, real ticks are now available in the Strategy Tester, and CopyTicks is working fine.
i did try before posting.
i used "real tick" combo menu but when i try to retrieve ticks BEFORE the starting point then i get 0 ticks

You can't control that directly but it's easy to work around it.
Let say you want to start a backtest from 2019.08.01, but you need week of ticks before this date, so 2019.07.25 :
1. Start a test from 2019.07.25 and once the data are synchronized stop it.
2019.11.19 15:00:18.098 EURUSD,M5: testing of Experts\Forum\74393.ex5 from 2019.07.25 00:00 to 2019.11.18 00:00 started
2019.11.19 15:00:18.318 EURUSD : real ticks begin from 2019.07.25 00:00:00
2. Set your starting date to the good one : 2019.08.01, past ticks will be available fro; 2019.07.25
2019.11.19 15:00:33.178 EURUSD,M5: testing of Experts\Forum\74393.ex5 from 2019.08.01 00:00 to 2019.11.18 00:00 started
2019.11.19 15:00:33.387 EURUSD : real ticks begin from 2019.07.25 00:00:00
