Is it possible to place an expert adviser (EA) on the webterminal to execute trades automatically?

If it can be done, can you please show me the steps.

The web terminal is like any terminal, of course you can trade normally.

You need to find a broker. Metaquotes is not a broker.

Any updates or ideas when we can add EA or Custom indicators to the webterminal? Seems backward that metaquotes would not have this already, most traders use custom indicators or EA so why would we use webterminal, its redundant until they provide this.

This feature will require complete support of MQL APIs in web-browsers, which is very heavy task. There are no plans for it at the moment, according to some information from MQ.
