How do I rename my custom symbols without having to create new ones?

I have custom data for MT5 and I wanted to know if it were possible to rename them without having to create a new custom symbol?
I have tried going into the symbol window, change custom symbol and rename it but it just creates another empty listing for the symbol. Empty meaning, no data.
I have also tried going into the bases folders and rename it there and no luck.
I have also tried going the symbom window, change custom symbol and tried copying from my original data, still no luck.
I also searched online and here in forum, no luck.
