wick hits TP but did not take profit

As per attached screenshots the wick of the candle all the way down to1938 with a spread of 0.27

My TP's are 1940.3 and 1942.3

So I'm asking why did my sell order didn't take profit.

is this a bug? if so where can i report this?

Please search before you post. These issues have been addressed countless times.

It's called "spread"! There is a Ask price and a Bid price. Charts only shows the bars/candles based on Bid prices (or Last prices for some symbols).

  • A "buy" position opens at the Ask price and closes at the Bid price.
  • A "sell" position opens at the Bid price and closes at the Ask price.

Enable the Ask price line on your chart so that you can track the current value visually.

EDIT: In other words, for your specific case, the Bid price may have reached the T/P, but not the Ask price.

EDIT2: Also, during high volatility, the spread may widen considerably, and sometimes due to low liquidity orders may also fail to be filled.

The Bid price needs to reach your TP to trigger it not the ask.

@Paul Anscombe #: The Bid price needs to reach your TP to trigger it not the ask.

I think you meant the opposite — the Ask needs to reach the T/P price, not the Bid. It is a "sell" position.

I have even seen a course on YouTube where it is explained wrong.
