PC wont download meta 4 but only meta 5... i need meta 4!! help

I am trying to install meta 4 (the software i use only works on meta 4) but when i download mql / meta 4... i look at my desktop and its meta 5.

why wont it allow me to download meta 4? ive tried now on 3 diff new accounts and they all do the same thing. help pls. thx all.

The support for MT4 was stopped long time ago. It means the following:

it will not be any key improvement of MT4; it will be just error fixing only;
we can not download and install MT4 from this mql5 portal; we need to go to the brokers' websites to download and install MT4 (because the brokers are still supporting MT4).

So, we can download and install MT4 from the brokers' websites only (because the brokers are continuing to support MT4).

This is the second topic about this today and it pops up on a very regular basis.

I do wish that MQL5 would stop being so sneaky and stop tricking people into downloading MT5 when they want MT4.

We forum members would then not have to waste our time replying to the many times that this issue is raised.

It has been years since you could download MT4 from Metaquotes. You can only get it from a broker's website.
