Mt4 won't run on windows 10 operating system

Got an issue with my trading platforms, all was working fine on the old pc problem  the pc was old hence wasn't functioning properly(windows 7) and I also tried to download mt4 onto but it wouldn’t install it wanted weird stuff like a proxy server of the broker....Got a new pc now(windows 10) and was able to install successfully but there's another problem now the platform ain't functioning well the market watch symbols hardly move and indicators can't be added to the chart basically no trades can be taken has anybody had this issue before?

Please help

NB: on the old pc the mt4 platform had two applications the one is named "metatrader 4 terminal" the other is named "metatrader 4" simply the "mt4 terminal" gives the same issue I'm experiencing now in the new pc however the normal "mt4" has no issues and I could open trades and attach various softwares to the chart with ease
