I wrote a robot. In the tester it increases the deposit 6 times in a month. On demo 70% in a month. On the real account it increases 30% during the same month. Broker is the same
It certainly is, and the difference can be measured.
Real at the top, demo at the bottom.
Same broker. I have noted the differences. With strong movement there are more differences and they are bigger. There is also a difference in lag and slippage.
The demo is an advertising variant. The conditions are easier on it.
It's not the difference, but some discrepancy which is imperceptible in real trading.
The only difference is that trading with demo-money is very easy - there are plenty of them and they are infinite, while trading with our own money we have three times less deals and 5 times shorter takeoffs.
It's not a difference, it's a bit of a discrepancy
That's a great phrase, we should teach the market saleswomen to say it when they're cheating!
;)
This is not a difference, but a slight discrepancy, which in real trading is unnoticeable.
The only difference is that trading with demo money is very easy - there are a lot of trades and they are endless, but when trading with your own money, there are three times fewer trades and 5 times shorter takes.
At first it was claimed that the quotes for demo and real are the same. I have shown that they are different.
Now the argument that they have little effect.
How much these discrepancies affect is another question. And for me it is clear. I wrote that with a big trend the differences are more significant

I do not see a significant difference. It's like talking about the difference in apples from one tree. Of course, they're not the same! But they should be the ones used for apple pie filling and not, say, grass!
A robot on different accounts (even of the same type) may well show different, even opposite actions at a given time. But the general nature of the performance will be similar.

Exactly! The difference between demo and real is not in quotes at all.
Moreover, when I tried to trade on the demo just like on the real, I realized that I don't need the demo.

Zhora, you haven't even taken a dollar out of the market yet. What can you talk about then, you're a theorist fantasist
Are we talking about withdrawal of dollars? We are talking about the meaning of the difference between demo and real. I argue that there is a very serious difference. If you start to trade on the demo in the same way as on the real, the demo becomes useless.
That's why I lumped everything in one pile into one account in League - that I don't need a demo account to trade on it, but to test a bunch of experts in real time.
And about the withdrawal... So far I keep getting wildly lucky... Let's see, maybe I won't lose what I've got now...
and how will you measure it? the difference depends on the type of strategy and the quality of its execution
In casinos the stakes have also been increased a hundredfold... But, for some reason, no one views casinos as a method of making money...
I've been earning money in casinos for 7 years and I've developed an attitude to money: money is nothing but chips when I'm playing. I saw how some people "earned" long and hard by the system and left in one-second in the "pants". I even figured out roulette betting combinations that give a 2% edge in the player's favour, but even they don't guarantee a permanent win - roulette has no "memory".
