what do signs have to do with it!?
It's a concept for an expert.
you can write the numbers correctly. in the settings.
Signs have nothing to do with it, only for those programmers who don't understand what a pip is.
For them it is clearer by the signs.
what do the signs have to do with it!?
Nothing to do with signs. Cheburashka is better.
From foreign sources.
From what I understand a pip is 4 digits.
Most brokerage companies (see here for our rating and here for the rating of Forex brokerage companies on http://ru.i-like-trading.com/) give four-digit quotes. Some intermediaries use five-digit quotes, i.e. five numeric digits follow the dot. The use of such quotation in trading conditions is the most accurate and is often used in case of floating spread. Accordingly, one pip of price change with four-digit quotation will be equal to 10 pips with five-digit quotation.

1 pip in forex, also known as pips or point, is the smallest increment by which the price of a currency pair can move up or down. This is also the smallest possible part of a trend.

In Forexpips = pips, both terms denotea minimum change in the exchange rate. Depending on the broker, the quotes are either 4 or 5 digits. For some instruments the digits are either 2 or 3 decimal places (e.g.yen pairs).
How the percentage point is calculated I have already mentioned above.
note - this is all segment ru)
what do you need it for ? what will it do for you ?
where are you going to put it ?
I would also ask - if pips = pips_mt, what is the purpose of the term ? (pips)
Why didn't they immediately make _Pips instead of _Point ?
Again I ask - how does a percentage point relate to any quotation mark?
You could fantasise...
Percentage counts as a ratio of some quantity to another quantity multiplied by 100. If not multiplied by 100, then the second decimal place is 1 percent.
The base point, is a hundredth of a percent, i.e. the fourth digit.
The quoted rate is also the ratio of some amount of one currency to a unit of another currency. So the fucking pip is the fourth decimal place.
---
That would be OK, but even after figuring out what a pip is, there are still people who think a pip is the fifth digit... and that's a total pippet.
I would also ask - if pips = pips_mt, what is the purpose of the term? (pips)
What does MT point have to do with it? A point as I understand it is the minimum price change and it doesn't matter MT or not. Just at four digits the same and that's it.
That would be OK, but even after figuring out what a pip is, there are still people who think a pip is a fifth sign... and that's a total pippet.
if MetaQuotes fixes their mistakes in Signals and Terminal, then in time, everything will fall into place
What does the MT point have to do with it? The point as I understand it is the minimum price change and it doesn't matter MT or not. Just a four digit match and that's it.
Whereas it is "point_mt" that has misled everyone.
If it had been called _MinStep or _MinPointStep, it would have been clear to everyone that it was not a Point, but the step (accuracy) of quoting a real Point.
