Does anyone know how to calculate liquidity ?
How to calculate the lot and stop loss to get a loss of no more than the calculated one. But about liquidity...
That's why I created the topic. Everyone knows the webinar.
the webinar has been seen by smart people but there is no practical information.
if you play long...
open price minus stoploss price=number of pips
price per pip times the number of pips = stop price per lot
lot = part of the deposit divided by stop price per lot
1,12705-1,12499=0,00206
100000*0,00206=206
100/206=0.48 lot should be opened for $100 risk
yes the leverage only affects the margin

Well, firstly, we should clarify that this is for pairs where the second symbol is the same as the deposit currency.
Secondly, the question was about liquidity. And in order to calculate it, you should at least know what it is!
They do not need to know the answers to stupid questions.
PS the notion of a trend is interpreted differently by everyone. Everyone agrees that a trend is a long up or down movement of an instrument. But no one really learned how to determine the beginning and the end of the trend for the current period.
Everything has been stolen before you. Already some brokers do not let you trade on the stock exchange unless you present assets worth 6 million roubles or more or obtain this certificate: google
FSFM certificate series 1.0 (broker, dealer and securities management). There are 1500 questions on trading.
it is useful for general erudition, only in 2008 it did not help many people.
Does anyone know how to calculate liquidity ?
...
no
so how do you calculate liquidity?
so how do you calculate liquidity?
It seems we should not start with how to calculate it, but with what it is....
How do you calculate liquidity for what? what are the objectives, what is the time frame, average or instantaneous, buy or sell... How will we trade by limit or by market? How many gangs can we afford to buy at once...
The question makes no sense without application. We can calculate average daily liquidity... average hourly... but still what is the price range of interest, by the whole cup or by 1 gang? You can spend an hour answering a question posed in this format, and you won't get an answer.
And what is a trend... It's even a philosophical question. They will only ask questions for an hour, and then it turns out that the author himself does not understand what a trend is.
So it turns out that you first need an exam for the examiner)). That begs the question: "Who are the judges?"
Secondly, the question was about liquidity. And in order to calculate it, you should at least know what it is!
Yes, you're right! But not only do you need to know what liquidity is, but you need to imagine all the pros and cons of such knowledge for a trader...
For example, for scalper this knowledge may be of practical value, but for medium-term trader it is idle information...
so how do you calculate liquidity?
1) Look at L2;
2) Send an order for 1/10/100 lots and see at what price it will execute, compare the "before" price with the execution price and from their difference draw conclusions about liquidity;
3) Score.
