What did I do wrong?

Everything is correct, just set nBar = 0, these are arrows and they are useless at first, N is the number of bars of the history you want to analyse, set it from the root of the trend of interest, iN = 0 is when the indicator reacts to every tick, N = 1 is when the bar stays stationary.
