The Grail is an indicator that does not need optimization(at zero spread, commission). I.e. whatever indicator has some positive result (or at least 90% of optimizations (not to be confused with number of profitable deals for selected period)). If the spread/commission is not zero, and it is, then there will be a certain limitation on the number of deals, (ie the minimum setting periods of such an indicator on the minimum timeframe to hell).

And of course, it's important that the person initially understands what he or she is searching for and what it looks like in reality.
