looks like a stochastic, only it doesn't seem to be rationed.

I don't remember the author. There is some mathematics used to find extemsems.


There's some good work with Fourier at Vinin.

Swinosaurs had indicators with extremum search. Like this one.

 

super-signal is the simplest ext. identifier.
