The concept: "Good Counsellor" - page 4

Well, there you go, almost a law of large numbers. The very reason to remember randomness, i.e. to actually state that a process with regularities, cleverly hidden from the vast majority, can be called random by the vast majority without any loss of money for themselves.

As one very smart man who is engaged in trading not one tens of years and who created a lot of software in this field said to me - "Trading is more art than mathematics....."))))

Only a few surgeons in the world perform heart surgeries well, although there are a million surgeons. So is it an accident? It doesn't seem to be. Although, if you read books on how such operations are done, it's simple. What's so complicated about it? - You cut it open, there's your heart. But not every surgeon does that. A talented surgeon does it. And not just any talented surgeon, but a surgeon capable of doing it. And not every surgeon is capable of doing it....)))))

Как мне сказал один очень умный мужик, занимающийся трейдингом не один десяток лет, и создавший множество софта в этой области - "Торговля это больше искусство, чем математика....."))))

Is being able to walk on water more of an 'art' than the 'maths' described in a famous bestseller?

I'm kidding. It's simpler - doldrums in the middle of a cyclone OR struggle to match the model to reality.

Be more natural.

By the way, statistically, it's not 95% that drain, it's 60-80%. Even according to the statistics of pamm accounts. And if we weed out the pams under $3000 - the picture will be clearer. And if you take more than 10k$ - it's even clearer. ))))

Leone, among the PAMM-accounts that were in the plus, is a very large percentage of those who ended up there accidentally. You have been following the rating for a long time. How many of those who have survived at least six months, in which you would have invested money if you were an investor?

Secondly, and most importantly, take into account those PAMM accounts that have already been liquidated due to a loss. They are not included in this rating.

P.S. About the correlation between art and mathematics: so it turns out that both subtle mastery of art and clever application of mathematics are paths that the same 5% or so can follow. The rest will continue to build dice without realising what they are doing.

Good advisor...

"Well, I'm sorry - my mistake" - error code 666.

That's bullshit. A good EA (there is no such thing) is one that trades the "market model". Ideally. In practice... There is neither a model nor an ideal according to which this model would be built. What is there?

There are attempts to catch market conditions that would allow, fingers crossed, trading. There is nothing else. No.

Ergo is not a causal 'model' but an 'investigative' one. God knows why the price moves... But can we see it, fix it? You do not need to know the weather forecast to open an umbrella, the fact of rain is enough. Consider who will get more soaked - the one, who follows the atmospheric model, computed on the Cray, or the one, who believes his eyes.

Ergo - leave the theoretical calculations to the theorists and concentrate on the Tao - the present. Try to figure out not what is going to happen, but what is happening.

Someone: Where isn't tf CR??? Are you agitating again?

Me: In progress...))

No such thing on forex forums, but stock forums are characterised by such characters:

- Guys, do you know what the "body" is up to? // The body is Rostelecom.

And this figure does not do anything else, but just finds out - what made the paper move.

- Milaj! Do you give a shit why? What are you, an analyst? Oh, no, you're a trader, and you're an intraday speculator. So buy a paper if you see a move.

Eventually, he, having received/thought out explanations of varying degrees of plausibility, will take the paper. But that's where it ends in this context of movement.

A typical example of trying to trade on a "model", on a "why".

Кстати, по статистике, не 95% сливают, а 60-80%.....

Well, 95% is over a period of three years. And by the first year, yes, 80-90%.

A good EA is Profit/Loss = 10/1

I have rewritten some principles and added to the above and found ones:

1. A good EA is an EA which earns money over a long period of time without significant adjustment at least for one symbol
.

2) A good Expert Advisor is an Expert Advisor, which works on those very patterns, which 95% of traders do not see
.

3) Good Expert Advisor - an Expert Advisor, which allows working with the maximum drawdown of no more than 10%.

4. Good Expert Advisor - Expert Advisor, which works taking into account random and unpredictable price movement.
5. Good Expert Advisor necessarily uses SL.
One kind of good Expert Advisor uses SL all the time, as one way of exiting a trade
(close SL).
Another type of good Expert Advisor uses SL only in extreme cases (far SL), and exits
in this case are usually based on indicator signals.

6. A good EA is one that works exactly according to the algorithm it was created with.

7. A good EA is one that takes into account all the problems of brokerage companies (spread widening, gaps, slippage,
spikes, no connection with the server, etc.).

8. A good EA is an EA that takes into account the possibility of rebooting the trader's computer, loss of connection, etc.

connection failure etc., and doesn't create errors in it.

9. Good advisors may be of 2 types: 1 type - advisor in the market all the time and turns positions
depending on the situation. The 2nd type - the Expert Advisor opens a position only in certain cases.

10. A good Expert Advisor may use pending orders, locking, hedging, increasing
and decreasing the size of positions. However, a good Expert Advisor can be made without using such
techniques.

11. a good Expert Advisor can use a specific TP, which is coordinated with SL, or not use
TP at all, with exiting trades based on indicator signals. A sliding SL can be used as TP
.

12. you can't write a good Expert Advisor on 1 or 3 standard indicators, which use
for their calculations for specific periods. The Expert Advisor shall take into account the fact that price fluctuations
have different amplitude and frequency (period).

13. In order to create a good Expert Advisor you can take a badly losing Expert Advisor (which is not losing due to the spread)
and mathematically turn it inside out. However, such a flip is far from always able to make
an EA profitable.

14. The work of a good Expert Advisor may be based on making a large number of deals per
unit time (a Pipsitter), on making an average number of deals, or on making a very small number of deals (an Investor).

number of deals (investor).

15. There are no good advisors freely available on the Internet. Good advisors are not for sale.

16. A good Expert Advisor can be written only by an extraordinary person.
The person must have good knowledge in several areas at once: mathematics, programming,
psychology, economics, etc. The person must be cunning, patient, disciplined and

motivated. A low value of any of the above will minimise the probability.

17. A good advisor is an advisor whose mathematical principle is clear to the trader.
"Black box" cannot be a good advisor for a long time.

Rewrote some principles...

What is this about? Is this an outline of discussion questions or for a personal action plan? What is the question? What exactly do you want to express?
