Wishes for Meta Trader 4/5 - page 3

I would like to have more options.

1. For example, detail the Reason codes returned by UninitializeReason(): REASON_CHARTCHANGE 3 The chart symbol or period has been changed. I would like two different codes - it is one thing for a person to switch the TF, but another to change the symbol.

2. Expert Advisor settings menu is called only during the period when the Expert Advisor is not working (during tick waiting period). Moreover, while the panel is open, the start does not start. It would be desirable to be able to open the EA's settings menu irrespective of the situation in the EA (like opening MT4 menu sections). And it would only start deinitialization if a user has changed the settings. If the settings have not been changed, then (regardless of OK or Cansel) do not start deinitialization. (good for a looped EA and an EA with a period of calculation reaching the inter-tick period).

3. Possibility to set in the code and select the setting parameters from the list, including yes/no/don't know, ru/en/fr/ch etc.

4. Possibility to start other programs (at least indicators) programmatically from the Expert Advisor. Critical and for commercial purposes - before launching the check, such as "I belong". And if someone else's or unauthorized - not allowed.

5. It is desirable to return the voicing of texts (sounds speaker voice is not enough talk, and this is an abnormal means - to record the sounds, not everyone is able to).

I would like to be able to work as an expert without being bound to a timetable.

I suggest that the program should include a manual history trading function. In my opinion it is a very useful thing. In this connection, it would be desirable to increase the speed of visual testing.

While working out another strategy on the demo, I suddenly realized what was missing in MT4! A market calculator! It's similar to 1C, but here you need to be able to link the current balance, risk, lot size, stop loss in the calculation. It would be nice to be able to fix some parameter(s) to get the calculated value of course. It would be very useful. At least, it would be much easier to work manually.

It would be great if the MQ5 editor could collapse large chunks of program code into blocks to make it faster!

Like this? ;)

Eh, the Metaquotes will be lost if they go along with us, the users of the terminal. They will be pecking away with their wishes... ;)

:-) But the competitors will never catch up with Metaquotes :-)

Hello!

A word in favour of portfolio traders :)
I want to give some more possibilities for multi-currency testing. I want to be able to test several pairs from one expo and to know their summary balances. The absence of such an opportunity with a "human face" greatly hinders.

If it's not hard to do, it should just be!!!!!

I don't think there's anything difficult about blocks to keep track of by the braces.

And I would also like to see a complete tick chart, so regardless of whether it is a holiday trade or the beginning of the American session it is more convenient to build moving averages, say, using the tick chart. By the way, with the introduction of tick charts there will be no need to artificially create ticks, they will already be there, which will improve the quality of modeling up to 100%

Of course, we should do manual testing on the history with the ability to change the speed of supply of new data.

We should also add a one year timeframe.

Yes, I support the proposal to resume voice reporting of events. Either with a good enough speech robot or by simply recording the most frequent messages as waveforms.
