No indicator is more or less useful, irrespective of the market, nor is any indicator better or worse than another. They are in fact just indicators. What dictates the usefulness of an indicator is how they are used and applied, according to the rules defined for the strategy being used. A single indicator can be read and interpreted in many different and distinct ways. As an example, if one is using them for trend following, one can interpret it one way and for count-trend scalping a totally different way. Indicators are tools and it depends on how and by whom they are wielded.
